David Bobay

Baritone

David Bobay is a multifaceted artist who performs and teaches at Heartland Sings in Fort Wayne, IN. He is a graduate of Ball State University (‘14). His recent performance roles have taken him into opera leads (The Three Hermits), punk rock musical theatre ensembles (American Idiot), jazz cabaret (weekly performances at The Bradley Hotel restaurants), a touring cover band (Heartland Sings annual mobile ART-V season), and many other musical niches. David has had a wide variety of performance experience including operas, a cappella groups, musical theatre, symphony chorus, country, jazz cabaret, and classical vocal solos. He brings a unique storytelling to his vocal delivery and his popular stylings are truly one of a kind. David’s abilities as a crossover artist are exceptionally flexible yet well-defined to each genre. His ability to connect to an audience and be at ease with them is an unmissable delight. Other past opera and musical theatre roles include Oklahoma! (Curly), My Fair Lady (Henry Higgins), The Music Man (barbershop quartet), Guys & Dolls (Harry the Horse), A Cole Porter Celebration (featured soloist), A Grand Night for Singing (featured soloist), The Elixir of Lover (opera chorus). 

David is also a sought after vocal teacher to students of all ages and ability levels. His choral performance and music management experience has taken him to China, Texas, California, Disney World, and the 2012 World Choir Games. He has been a classroom choral teacher, director, choreographer, instrumentalist, clinician, and adjudicator in the Northeast Indiana region for over a decade. Instagram: @davidbobay
